You know the drill. You’re ready to exchange your crypto, everything looks good, and then your wallet stops you cold: “insufficient funds for gas.” Your token balance is sitting right there, but you just don’t have enough native crypto to cover the fee. So you go buy some, wait for it to land, and by the time it does the price has moved on. Annoying.
It’s one of the most common reasons people quit crypto wallets in their first week. And for anyone who’s been on-chain for a while, babysitting a native token buffer on every chain gets old fast. It’s just friction nobody needs.
So we built gasless exchanges, and they’re live in Utorg App now.
How it actually works
The exchange flow you already know hasn’t changed at all. You open the app, pick the pair of tokens, enter the amount, and hit the exchange button.
If our app detects you don’t have enough native token to cover gas, it pops a notification on the exchange screen letting you know, and gives you the option to go through with it anyway.
Worth knowing that you’re not skipping the gas fee. You’re paying it in the token you’re already exchanging, instead of the native coin. So if you’re exchanging USDC on Ethereum, the gas gets covered from your USDC.
What’s supported now
As of now, gasless exchanges are available on the following networks:
- Ethereum
- Polygon
- BSC
- Optimism
- Arbitrum
- Avalanche
- Solana
What are your benefits from this
No more balance babysitting. You don’t have to check whether you’ve got enough ETH, MATIC, or BNB sitting around before every exchange. Just open the app and complete the exchange.
You also skip the whole detour of buying native tokens first, which, if you’ve done it, you know takes way longer than it should. And here’s the part that actually adds up: most exchanges have a minimum buy of €40 or more. With gasless exchanges, you’re not forced to buy crypto you don’t need just to cover a fee.
Curious what exchanging without gas stress actually feels like? Open Utorg App and find out.
